Joe Moe

Joe Moe is Consignment Specialist for Heritage Auctions.

Joe Moe’s love of collectibles was sealed when he moved from Hawaii to "the mainland" (Hollywood) in 1981 and became associated with pop culture icon Forrest J Ackerman (1916-2008), the legendary editor of Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine, who virtually invented movie memorabilia collecting in the 1930s. Joe curated Ackerman’s world-renowned collection of over 800,000 props, costumes, posters, books, and artworks until Ackerman’s passing. Joe has worked as a filmmaker, FX artist, screenwriter, and designer of dark rides for international theme parks. He's written and edited auction catalogs as a memorabilia specialist for over a decade on high-profile projects including Debbie Reynolds, Carrie Fisher, Marvel, Liza Minnelli, Glee, Howard Hughes, Milton Greene, Marilyn Monroe, The Hunger Games, Frank Darabont, Martin Landau, and more. Joe is incredibly proud to be a part of the Heritage Auctions family.
