Never Sleep Again: Freddy’s Glove Slashes its Way to Auction
As one of Heritage’s life-long horror fanatics, I’m incredibly excited we’re offering a production-used razor glove worn by Haley’s Krueger in our upcoming 2022 July 22-23 Hollywood & Entertainment Signature Auction!
AUCTION PREVIEW: Browse Jackie Earle Haley “Freddy Krueger” Hero Blade Glove from A Nightmare on Elm Street.
Released in 2010 a year after Platinum Dunes’ remake of Friday the 13th, the Samuel Bayer-directed A Nightmare on Elm Street starred acclaimed actor Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen) as dreaded dream demon Freddy Kreuger. While not as well-received as Robert Englund’s version of the beloved boogeyman, Haley’s portrayal was darker and more malevolent.
Crafted by FX artist Joe D. Mack, the glove is constructed of soldered steel blades, dulled for safety, affixed to hinged copper pieces, and attached to a production-distressed leather glove. Authenticated by the special FX artist Joe D. Mack, after identifying specific markings he’d made on the glove’s interior that only he was aware of. Joe Mack is featured in the Warner Bros. short documentary Reimagining The Iconic Glove. The impressive glove has been professionally mounted and displayed on a high gloss black plastic and red velvet hand form. Mack has signed the interior.
