This gorgeous shirt, like so many items of clothing owned by Elvis, was gifted to a fan. In this case, the fan had been employed by the Presleys to move personal items from Elvis’ Beverly Hills home to Graceland. When offered a tip for meeting a deadline to move the items, the mover asked for an autograph from Elvis for his son. Vernon explained that Elvis had already returned to Memphis, but suggested the fan might like a personal item of Elvis’. He chose this shirt, a high collared dress shirt with elastic uppers and wrist band, also with a ‘tuck-in’ elastic strap to keep the shirt tucked in, from I. C. Costume Co. in Hollywood, the company that made many of Elvis’ jumpsuits and other personal clothing. It is in Excellent condition. LOA from Joseph Kareta, one of the appraisers who appears on the A&E Television Networks series, “The Storage Wars,” and an Elvis specialist. Estimate: $3,000 – up.
