A six-foot tall die-cut cardboard Paramount Studios promotional display, featuring Elvis and his lovely co-star Carolyn Jones. This rare item (the first known standee from King Creole offered for auction) was obtained from the Alhambra Movie Theater in Knightstown, Indiana, and was used to advertise Elvis’ fourth feature film, one that many feel is his best — even Elvis himself considered King Creole his personal favorite among his many movies. The standee measures approximately 32.5″ wide and 58.5″ tall; it comes folded in half. There’s quite a bit of wear from age, storage, and handling, but the colors remain vibrant; overall Very Good condition. This one-of-a-kind, highly desirable display featuring a young, “pre-Army” Elvis is sure to thrill The King’s many fans! Accompanied with a Letter of Authenticity signed by Stephen Shutts. Estimate: $6,000 – up.
