This gold-plated cross with rhinestones was worn by Elvis in 1975. The cross was given by Elvis to his then-girlfriend, JoCathy Brownlee whom he noticed at a WFL football game in Memphis. An introduction was arranged via George Klein, and within weeks, she was living at Graceland, driving her 1975 Grand Prix that Elvis had delivered to Graceland. While on a date at the Memphian Movie Theatre, Elvis took this cross off and gave it to her because she was wearing a Star of David necklace. Elvis told her he didn’t want her to not make it to heaven on a technicality. Several months later, Elvis asked her to gather up a few of her things because he had another date coming over (Linda Thompson). She packed up that evening and never saw him again. Dimensions: 1.75″ x 1.25″. Gross weight: 6.80 grams. Chain: yellow metal. Length: 25.5 inches. LOA from Alice Peterson who received this piece directly from JoCathy Brownlee. Estimate: $8,000 – up.
