Set to take place on March 12 & 13, 2022, the auction will feature hundreds of incredibly scarce LPs, 45s, and more.

Led Zeppelin II DJ Promo Vinyl LP (Atlantic, SD 8236). A very rare DJ promo copy (with an orange hype sticker and a stamp from WDHA-FM’s record library, along with a white label on the disc) of the scorching second LP by the British greats, featuring the classics “Heartbreaker,” “Thank You,” and “Whole Lotta Love.” The jacket is in VG-EX 6.5. Led Zeppelin III Japanese Stereo Vinyl LP With Insert (Atlantic, MT 2043). A rare Japanese version of Led Zep’s classic third LP with its original insert. More of an acoustic-tinged album from the British act, classics like “That’s the Way” and “Gallows Pole” came into the world, along with the immortal “Immigrant Song” and “Since I’ve Been Loving You.” The jacket is in VG 5 condition with staining. The insert has writing, tears, and bending. The disc is in NM 8 condition with staining on the label. COA from Heritage Auctions. From the Record Collection of David Swartz
I remember my father getting me into Led Zeppelin, as he was a huge fan. Their epic songs, a perfect mixture of early American blues (brought to a heavy, guitar-driven extreme) and folk music, spoke to my adolescent mind with their tales of Tolkien’s Middle Earth, Viking raids, and spooky esotericism. The songs about women hit me hard not long after.
