It is not often that we get such a fantastic collection of original pressings on vinyl. Then to have them come to us in such excellent condition. Many classic albums are rare and hard to find today; first pressing covers and mono and stereo pressings will be offered in this collection on original labels.
Then there are many artists or groups that are unknown and have been discovered at later dates and, due to the demand, are very hard to find in the record collector’s market. We have a fantastic grouping coming up in the first July auction, and here are a few from the collection:
Leaf Hound’s Growers of Mushrooms, Led Zeppelin (first pressing), the Rolling Stones’ Let It Bleed (mono), Nick Drake’s Five Leaves Left, the Jimi Hendrix Experience’s Axis: Bold as Love (mono), the Rolling Stones’ Beggars Banquet (mono), Blossom Toes’ If Only For a Moment, Ambrose Slade’s Beginnings, Elvis Presley’s Rock and Roll (first UK LP), the Beatles’ Please Please Me (mono), the Who’s Tommy (Track label), Tyrannosaurus Rex’s Angels of the Age, the Who’s Who Did It, the Who’s Quadrophenia (Track label), Tyrannosaurus Rex’s My People, The Trees’ self-titled, the Yardbirds’ Roger the Engineer (mono), Syd Barrett’s Barrett, the Forest’s Full Circle, the Pretty Things’ S.F. Sorrow (mono), Pink Floyd’s Saucerful of Secrets (mono), The Velvet Underground and Nico, the Pretty Things’ Get the Picture?, Quintessence, Mello Candle’s Swaddling Songs, Earth and Fire, July, Cream’s Disraeli Gears (mono), Wil Malone, Black Sabbath, Kaleidoscope’s Tangerine Dream (mono), Deep Purple’s Shades of… (mono), and The Kinks (mono).
This is just a sampling of what we have in the first “Back to Frank’s Place Auction.” Just go to our website and see all the other great albums that will go up for bid in mid-June. Please let us know if you have any questions about any of the lots.
