The parallel universe, first introduced in the fan-favorite Star Trek: The Original Series Episode: “Mirror, Mirror” would go on to be a staple of Star Trek lore, revisited again and again in subsequent installments and iterations of the beloved franchise. While the concept alone is fascinating, in terms of pure entertainment, having the intrepid crew of the USS Enterprise portraying their alternate, darker “Mirror selves” was just plain fun! These split personalities were mostly performance-based, although “Sulu” (George Takei) got a nifty scar and “Spock” (Leonard Nimoy) got to sport baffling facial hair! As iconic and memorable as the story were the costumes, and we’re offering four of them in our Special Star Trek Auction on February 22, 2022.
